The most common cat litters available are pine cat litter, paper cat litter, and crystal cat litter. If you are not yet familiar with these types of cat litter, you may continue reading below to learn more about each type of cat litter:

●The pine type is said to be more absorbent and usually does not smell. It is also made out of reprocessed materials and comes in pellet form or clumped form.

●The paper type is made out of repurposed paper materials. They include non-toxic materials, and are absorbent too, although it is more pricey compared to other cat litter.

●The crystal type is also called silica gel litter. It is made of sand quartz particles that look like crystal pieces. It is absorbent and prevents odor, although it is not as environmentally friendly as other types of cat litter.

Persistent litter box issues should warrant an appointment with your veterinary clinic Chesapeake, VA to make sure that your pet’s behavior is not caused by an underlying health issue.
