Keeping Your Cat Indoors

Kitties are very hardy and independent, and they are quite formidable hunters. In fact, our feline friends don’t actually need us to care for them. They apparently just prefer being pampered to working for a living. (Who can blame them?)

That said, while many cats do enjoy exploring new places, they really aren’t safe outside. There are just too many dangers lurking in the outside world: traffic, weather, chemicals, wild animals, and even stray kitties are all dangers. Sadly, people can also be a threat. Your pet could also simply get lost.
It’s definitely best to ground your little buddy. This can be challenging at first, but stick to your guns. Sweeten the deal by offering lots of toys, treats, and catnip, and providing catnip, window seats, and things to explore.
