Training your pet rabbit to use a litter box may take time and patience, especially if they have already developed bad habits. If you notice that your rabbit is about to go outside their litter box, try to pick them up and place them in the box or corral them in. It is also a good idea to get your rabbit spayed or neutered as they may be marking their territory by spraying pee or pooping everywhere. This behavior can be curbed by getting them fixed.

If your rabbit deliberately pees on your bed or couch to assert their dominance, it is important to correct their behavior immediately. In addition, be sure to clean up any accidents with a paper towel and place them in the litter box to reinforce good habits. Patience and persistence are key when litter training your rabbit, but the reward of having a well-trained companion is well worth the effort.

A sudden change in your pet’s elimination habits should warrant an appointment with your veterinary clinic Fort Collins, CO.
