I’ve Bought A Scratching Post, Why Won’t My Cat Use It?

Scratching posts are a good invention since it provides indoor cats with alternatives to express their need to scratch and keep their claws sharp. To this day, scratching posts come in various forms, types, and designs. You may even find it hard to choose the best one for your feline friend. Before making the purchase, you have to consider numerous factors, including the following:

· Budget

· Space available inside your home

· Your cat’s behavior and preferences

Note that some scratching posts are not durable or sturdy. Some are too light and cannot resist scratching. Cats will not like these posts because of the insufficient resistance of the products when used. You should also place the scratching post in the right place – the right place for your cat. Do not install the scratching post in an area that is convenient for you. Remember: your cat will be the one to use the post, not you.

If you have concerns about your pet's health and/or behavior, make an appointment with your pet clinic Burnsville, MN.
