If you want a well-behaved Airedale that enjoys being groomed, start exposing him to the procedure young. When you adopt this king terrier as a puppy, it is easier for you to train him and shape his behavior depending on your lifestyle and personality.

Grooming this breed is not difficult, but it is not that easy. Learn about the routine and how to do the actual grooming. The best rule you need to remember is to always make grooming time a positive experience for your beloved pet.

Doing this will ensure that your Airedale will not give you a hard time when you try to clean him. Use positive reinforcement strategies like praising and rewarding him.

The steps in grooming an Airedale include the following:

  • Weekly check the ears for indications of an infection, like bad odor or redness.

  • Use a cotton ball moistened with a pH-balanced cleanser to wipe the ears. Do not stick cotton buds into your pup’s ears. Clean only the outer region of the ears.

  • Check the other body parts of your beloved Airedale, including the mouth, nose, eyes, and even feet. Look for signs of rashes, infections, or sores such as tenderness, inflammation, or redness.

  • These sense organs should not produce any discharge for it may mean an infection or health problem.

If your pet is showing signs of an ear issue, make an appointment with an animal hospital Bellevue, WA.
