Care Tips For Belgian Malinois

A Belgian Malinois can thrive in tiny spaces if given ample exercise. They like chilly climates but may adapt to warmer conditions. Pets should be treated as family members and placed indoors.

Besides taking long walks or running, give your Malinois off-leash training in a gated area if feasible. Malinois requires around 20 minutes of movement 3 to 4 times daily, and a relaxing walk will not be enough. They're designed for activity. If you enjoy hiking or jogging, your paw companion will just be delighted to accompany you. Consider training him for obedience or agility competitions. What you do is unimportant so long as you've got him occupied. Expect him to run in enormous loops in your backyard due to his herding ancestry.

Call your vets Ellicott City, MD to make sure that your pet’s preventatives and vaccinations are up to date before taking your pet on outdoor excursions.
